I have a few requirements for the family that wants to adopt My Adults, and they are listed below:

1. A fenced in yard is a requirement. It has to be a real fenced yard that goes around the house, that will allow THEM to be let outside to go potty without having to take them out on a leash and put them in a fenced in area. What would work best for both the Dog and their new family would be a doggie door so they can come back in when they is done outside. But this is not mandatory. 

4. These dogs need to be primarily a female's dog. They have only been around me, and has very little exposure to men or children. I think they could adjust to men and children, but I recommend they be a woman's dog primarily.

5. I don't recommend these dogs to be in a home with children under 12. I prefer they be with adults or older children, since they have never been around children at all.

6. I also recommend the new owner invest in a basic obedience class to start shortly after they adopt one of these dogs. This will be a good experience for both the new owner, and the dog. It will help them to bond with and respect new new mom, and it is also a good oportunity to socialize the dog, and help them learn how to meet new dogs and new people.

7. I also require that THEY have yearly check ups with your vet that include a dental exam, and cleaning if necessary. They will have to have the shots, and be kept on a heartworm prevention program such as monthly intereptor or heartguard medication. They will also need to be kept on some type of flea control program, I recommend Frontline plus if fleas are a problem in your area.
